About

A kid like Troy Destan deserves a blog to tell the world about his life! He is his mommy’s little travel buddy (Manhattan, Cancun, Cozumel, Istanbul, Datca, Bodrum and more), his daddy’s kite buddy and dive buddy (“Ben dalicam balik tutucam”), the apple of his two grandfathers, two grandmothers, two great grandmothers, and one great great grandmother’s eye, and the #1 nephew to his two uncles.

Troy also makes his parents proud with all the hard work he puts into his treatments to live healthy with cystic fibrosis. He knows very well he needs to take 25 enzymes a day to consume food, 40 minutes on his machine vest, albuterol via a nebulizer, nasal sprays, antihistamines, vitamins. He is tolerant of his g-tube. He works hard with his parents to delay the progression of the genetic disease.

For anyone who wants to keep track of Troy, this blog is for you. Troy–you are a child of the 21st century, whenever you are ready you can type away .

  1. THANKS for the Blog Ayse’cim!
This is the closest thing to almost being there and watching Troy run around.
No doubt 21st century will be opening new doors for new research & ideas, and Troy will grow up with all the advantages that’ll come with it.
Can’t wait to run around with him soon!
